The last bank holiday of May is quickly approaching and we know it’s going to be a good one. With lots happening around Leeds City Centre, the following epic experiences are great ways to enjoy your bank holiday weekend. For student, it’s best to have this type experience while studying in Leeds. This will help them in their future. Students should enjoy this experience by living in the best student accommodation Leeds. If you’re studying and taking exams, just going to one will provide a de-stress, or if you’ve already finished for the year, go wild and celebrate!

World Island

One of Leeds’ newest festivals, World Island brings the best of electronic music to Globe Road in the city centre. Featuring acts such as Sampha, Jungle, and Loyle Carner, World Island brings all the bank holiday vibes to Leeds and you won’t want to miss out.

The Girl On The Train

If you’ve read the book and seen the film then why not see the play version of The Girl On The Train. This psychological thriller is based on Paula Hawkins’ bestselling novel and promises to bring drama and suspicion to the stage. Running until the 9th June 2018, there’s plenty of time to get tickets but we reckon it’s a good way to spend an afternoon or evening this bank holiday.

Eat North

Eat North is back for the whole summer and the bank holiday event is one you won’t want to miss out on. As part of Leeds Indie Food Festival, Eat North hosts a weekly variety of street food stalls from the UK’s north. On bank holiday you’ll be able to enjoy food from I Knead Pizza, What A Donut, Vaso Kitchen, Nyama Choma, Meat Stac and Rabbit Hole Coffee as well as beer from North Brewing Co where Eat North is located.

Slam Dunk Festival

Music can be the ultimate way to enjoy your weekend but if you’re still unsure on what to do for the upcoming bank holiday events in Leeds, a music festival might be a suitable option for you. If you’re more into your pop-punk, rock, and alternative music, then Slam Dunk Festival is where you need to be. With headliners such as Good Charlotte, Jimmy Eat World, and Taking Back Sunday, it’s no wonder Slam Dunk festival has become a staple in the Leeds festival calendar.

Northern Print Fair

Leeds has got a good independent scene happening and that doesn’t just apply to the restaurants and coffee shops in the city. It also applies to the art scene too. With studios dotted around the city, artists come together at Northern Print Fair to showcase their art. Check out some cool unique pieces from the likes of Ink & Bear, OR8, and The Lost Fox and get your hands on some of the coolest art around.
